APPLICATION DEADLINE: AUGUST 18TH, 2017
The Bi Arts Festival seeks bisexual-identified artists and filmmakers for a special evening of bi+ film and video. There is no fee to submit and a small honorarium is available to those whose films we screen.
The venue is accessible, and the event is PWYC ($5 student, un-waged or under-waged and $10 others is suggested, but nobody turned away).
The film screening will be the closing night event for the Festival. More details to follow!!
Where: Tranzac Club, 292 Brunswick Avenue, Toronto, ON (closest subway: Spadina station, 3 blocks away).

The Bi Arts Festival seeks bisexual-identified artisans, makers & craftspeople (pansexual, fluid, and other non-monosexual identities welcome, too!) for a special one-evening pop-up market.
The pop-up market will be part of the Festival’s Opening Night party, which includes the zine launch and celebration of the bi+ art exhibit.
Where: D-Beatstro Cafe, 1292 Bloor West (just east of Lansdowne), Toronto.
When: Friday, September 22nd, 2017
Time: 7pm to 11pm
The cost for a table will be $20, payable by e-transfer (this is only for vendors that are accepted; it is free to apply).

Our first volunteer meeting will be held on Thursday March 9th, 7pm, at The 519 (519 Church Street, just north of Wellesley). Please join us to find out more about volunteer opportunities. We are looking for both team leads as well as volunteers for a variety of tasks, from social media outreach to screening film and video submissions. Bring a friend, or come along and make new friends.

Join us for Toronto’s first annual Bi Arts Festival, to be held the weekend of “Celebrate Bisexuality Day” 2017 (September 22-23-24, 2017). This call is for the art exhibit.
DEADLINE: JULY 21, 2017
This exhibit seeks to feature the work of bi* identified artists working in any two-dimensional format. Bi* artists might include those who claim, amongst other possibilities, the identities bisexual, queer, pansexual, demisexual, asexual, omnisexual, two-spirit, fluid or other non-exclusively straight or non-exclusively gay identities.
First-time exhibitors and emerging artists are particularly encouraged to apply.
Please send expressions of interest to email@example.com with the following:
- Artist Statement outlining your relevant experience and general artistic approach (in text format, doc or pdf).
- Artist CV (in text format, doc or pdf).
- Images of work: a maximum of five (5) images in jpg format. Each image should be no longer than 2000 pixels on the long side. Be sure that each image file name includes your name and title of the work.
- Numbered list of work(s): include titles, medium, year of production, and dimension of pieces (if applicable).
We’re running a short survey (all answers are optional) to find out more about what you’d like to see at the Bi Arts Festival and if you’d like to participate. It’s only one page and won’t take long to complete at all.
